I am currently in the beautiful Bernkastel in western Germany where I have some vacation days. We are some buddies watching old castles and take part in white wine tastings. Mosel River flows beside the town. Incredibly beautiful, with long rows of vines over the rock walls. Yesterday we tested 20 different wines from the same farm. Incredibly adult job but its new and exciting and someone has to do it...
I can admit that I drank an extra glass for Veikko the old man who has finally gained the right to Vaxholm municipality and now waiting for a spot on the Finnish-speaking home in Enskede. Yipiee. Kippis Veikko! We were many who fought for it and I was honored to be one of them. Cool!
I eat a very late breakfast right now and my crazy artist friend Ernst think I'm a sleepyhead .. so now I chase him down the cobbled street and is forcing him to ride the little tourist train around town with me. He'll probably refuse but I'm stronger. and, yes, it's tropical heat here. It does not happen much in Bernkastel but I can really recommend it for a weekend if you want real quiet quality holiday. In addition to this year's all new wines it's asparagus time so we eat very well ..
